Public Review and Comment Period Extended

Total Groundwater Processed

Through mid-June, 2019, approximately 1.35 million gallons of groundwater have been processed through the Permanent Groundwater Treatment System (Final Treatment System), which has been operational since April 2, 2019.

Previously, approximately 17 million gallons of groundwater were processed through the Temporary Groundwater Treatment System (TGTS) to maintain hydraulic capture of the plume. The TGTS operated from May 23, 2017 until the Final Treatment System was operational.

USEPA issued a news release today to announce the extension of the public review and comment period. Public comments on the Proposed Cleanup Plan will be accepted through 14 JAN 2015. USEPA will also hold a formal public hearing, where oral comments will be accepted on the Proposed Plan, on Wednesday, 10 DEC 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Concord Town House, 2nd Floor, 22 Monument Square, Concord, Mass.
